Day 6

So lets see if the sun did come out after last nights deluge. Oh Mr. Contemporay… how Is the weather?

The sun did come out tomorrow 😊 Shirt of the day…..

My Bruce the Shark from Finding Nemo. I still like to credit my niece for getting it for me, when I couldn’t find the right size. I usually wear it for when I am eating at Coral Reef, in Epcot. But this trip, never changed from my traveling t-shirt. Today I am going to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, eating breakfast at Rainforest Café. Dinner at Boma, my resorts pool, finishing my evening at the Magic Kingdom. Surprisingly enough, my sneakers are dry.

This Rainforest Café is just outside Animal Kingdom. First time trying to eat here.

Hold onto your hat…. No steak and eggs… Chicken fried steak and eggs 😊

Not a memorable meal. Will decide in the future whether to eat here again or not. Should have had the steak 😊 Now into Animal Kingdom.

First up, Kilamanjaro Safaris.

Passing by the Tree of Life, I go see Its Tough to be a Bug. I just miss one show, so I wait for the next one to start.

I am a little hungry.. and its been a while since I ate at Flame Tree.. so I head there.

Well… maybe not so hingry.. as I pack up the ribs and plan to take it back to my room.

I leave the park. The only other ride I usually ride is Kali River Rapids. After last nights fun, I decide to head back to the resort and a real pool. Going to swim for a bit, rest, then dinner at Boma.

I am the only person at the bus station for my resort ride back to the Contemporary, I board, the bus driver waits a minute and we leave, I am the only passenger.

And the scooter still works too 😊

Home away from home 😊

I change into a bathing suit and head to the pool. They have a large chess set behind the hotel on the way to the pool.

Just standing in the pool. Enjoying the water.. .the right way.. not in the rain, but in a pool 😊

They have a contest at the pool. Favorite Disney character. They ask me… I say Captain Nemo. She thinks I am talking about Finding Nemo, but I say… 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea Captain Nemo. She draws a blank, barely remembering the movie. ☹ I loose the round, no big surprise. 😉

Tomorrow, I plan to do a water park. Major problem, my pool shoes broke. A strap that was being held in place with glue.. came undone. I asked a worker, where could I find pool shoes. They direct me to a store in the Contemporary. I change into real clothes and walk over the footbridge to the Contemporary. I go into the shop, ask for pool shoes, he shows me Crocs, with Mickey Mouse things on it. Beggers cant be choosers. $55 ☹ I go to the food court in the Contemporary. I take this photo.

More items to be stored in my Owners Locker. I go rest in my room for a bit, pack up my things and head to the Magic Kingdom and catch the bus to Animal Kingdom Lodge for dinner at Boma.

Some of the things I ate here.

Kool Slaw, prime rib, corn dogs, and mashed potatoes. Of course I am seated in the rear, that is the pool beyond the window 😉

I always joke I am seated nearer the pool then the buffet. 😉

Mummm Zebra Domes. They use alcohol when they bake them. I will drive my scooter into the pool if I have more 😊 So I find other sweets to have.

Now my plan is take a bus back to the Magic Kingdom, enter the park, scoot to Tomorrowland, buy a gift for my nephews son. It’s a little on the big side, then leave the park and call it a early night. Too bad they don’t ship items back to the resort anymore ☹

I head back to leave the theme park. When I go pass Tomorrowland Terrace, I see they have a alternate walking area open, between the bathrooms by Tomorrowland Terrace and The Plaze Restaurant. When I was typing this report, I totally forgot about this. I didn’t recognize anything in the video, so I posted it online, and then I remembered. Here is the video.

I head back to my room and the pool again.

I don’t spend too much time. As I head back to the resort and my room. The resort looks pretty at night, I take some photos.

Once I am back in my room, I hear the music for the Electrical Water Pageant, so I grab my camcorder and go watch it from my balcony.

Now its time to sleep.
