Day five
From last
night. My candy haul. I placed it in the rooms frig before going to
sleep.
Today, at least for the
morning, is not a theme park day, but a water park day. I did sleep late. Before going to the water park, I head to Pop’s gift shop and pick up the items I bought the other day
at the
How soon do they forget. 20k ride was
in Fantasyland, not Tomorrowland.
They have this deal, if you
spend x dollars, you can buy a souvenir watch, which I have done the last
couple of years, so I picked out two more glasses to buy.
Tomorrowland
And the watch, they had two
styles, one with a larger watch face, and a smaller one. I got the larger one.
It is close to
Once at Typhoon Lagoon, I
just went into the large wave pool. This
trip I stayed away from the lazy river.
I took a break to eat some
lunch soon after arriving at the water park. I was hungry from not eating
breakfast. I tend to open places for
lunch. I am eating before

strips
No problems with predatory
birds. I go back to the wave pool. At first there are no waves for a while.
But after
I sit at the end of the pool
where there are some benches and I am surprised how strong the wave is at that
point too.
Here is a video of me being
knocked around by the waves. The last time sitting at the end of the area.
I decide I had enough,
change, and head back to my resort. I
change into my Coral Reef/Living Seas with Nemo and
Friends t-shirt once back in my room.
see how
many people get it :)
Its now almost
I head to Test Track and use
my FP+ for that. Here is my video riding
Test Track.
Then I head to Universe of
Energy. I notice in the last scene of
seeing the dinosaurs, they removed Ellen fighting the snake.
After leaving Universe of
Energy, I would be a little early for Coral Reef. So I went through Innoventions looking around. Then I parked my scooter
by Coral Reef and rode the clam ride.
Here is my video of walking from Coral Reef to the clam ride. Forgive me, the video is dark once inside the
ride area.
I checked in about 10 minutes
early and sat for about 5 before being shown to my table.
Since I am on the basic
dining plan, I pay for the shrimp appetizer dish.
And guess what I have for the
entree……
and for dessert, the chocolate lava cake.
After eating I went to see the
They now use smartphones in water proof cases. I only do
I also spend time taking
photos of the garden train layout near
I also take some photos of
the barges for Illuminations.
I then went to queue up for the Illuminations Sparkling Dessert Party. Unlike Wishes Dessert Party, there are no
reserved tables, so its first come, gets their choice
of tables. You go to the podium, they
find your name on the list, they give you a sticker to
wear
Then you then go to another
place to actually enter the area. The
seating is set up between the two trading posts opposite the American
Adventure. You enter the area (facing
American Adventure) by the trading post on the left.
They do have a couple of
handicap tables setup front. I sit at one.
Another family stands right next to me.
Their very young daughter qualified for handicap as she suffered a
stroke at a very young age. She likes
fine to me, which is good, no lasting problems.
Her parents say she is shy. I
guess one of the nice things about this party was talking to this family. When describing her problem, they spell out
stroke instead of saying it.
The tables where they set up
the self serve items like cookies, had lights so the tables glowed.
They had premium ice cream
bars. Some hot dessert dishes... Flam or something.
Churros deep fried in butter served with ice
cream. The only lines I saw were to get the deep fried Churros. Next was
where they were pouring the wine. They
had two kinds, a fruity one, and another. I
I had one glass of fruity sparkling
wine. I also had some cookies and water. I enjoyed it allot better
then the Wishes version. Lots of people stood at their tables to watch.
Here is my video of watching
Illuminations.
Here is a video of my Ustream broadcast of Illuminations, which includes some pre
show chatter I had with another guest.
After Illuminations was over,
it seemed you still could get more things to eat and drink, they don’t rush you
out like they do at Wishes. I probably wont do Wishes next visit, but will look forward to do this
again.
I don’t know what my plans are for tomorrow AM. I have lunch at Kona (
